Family Vacations: Making Memories

When I look back at my childhood, some of the best times were our family vacations.  Disney World, Washington D.C., Wisconsin, Indiana and much more.

Sometimes there was bickering, most of the time there was smiles and laughter.  We had fun, and that’s what I want my children to experience.

My husband and I have taken the kids on mini-get-a-ways to Wisconsin but, our big vacation is to Florida.  My in-laws live there so for the past few years we have gone there for spring break.  The kids get to see their grandparents and be on vacation. What’s not to love!

We just got back from Florida last week.  We had a wonderful time.

The kids were like fish, never wanting to get out of the pool.  They built sandcastles at the beach, we took my daughter to play mini-golf and went to a waterpark.

There was nothing like seeing them interact with their Nana and Papa.  Fun and Family, it doesn’t get better than that!

So, traveling with a toddler may be cumbersome.  Paying for four people to fly can be expensive, thank goodness for points! However, making memories is priceless!!

What are some vacations you’ve taken with your kids/family? What stories or moment have you had with your kids during spring break? Or what new and exciting staycations have you taken?

Talk soon, Erica Coghlanvaca
